Stone gardens
Stonе gardens. The secret of rocky gardens success is not only striving to simulate sometimes strikingly massive heap of stones, which can be observed in large parks and botanical gardens. Even in small areas, if comply with proportionality of the surrounding elements, you can create a beautiful rocky area.
Stony gardens, mountain rocky gardens, rocky hills, rocky ridges, rock or alpine gardens, are special kinds of flower beds, original approaches of garden design, like sophisticated plant complexes of trees, shrubs, flowering plants, grasses, mosses and lichens, allowing to simulate mountainous landscape. Rocky garden should look like in a natural way. Therefore, it should be surrounded by a wide space, such as a lawn. It should be located away from the object of regular geometric shapes, such as, for example, flat beds and flower beds, straight paths and geometrically regular water. Such a stone garden, due to its arbitrary shape will not be in harmony with them. Although, if the rock garden includes a pond edged with stones, it will look attractive.
