Properly selected and installed electric lights will help to convert the night life on your site. The unobtrusive light underlines decorative compositions, highlighting the most expressive accents. With using the light, you can create unique, literally fantastic effects. It would be great to create a game like fountain water jets in the glow of lanterns. Built-in track lights, like moonlight, will highlight your way. Therefore, the light in the garden is a simple but very effective way to create the desired impression.
When you are planning the installation of lighting, you must think carefully of what effect you want to achieve by setting a lamp in this place. A good result can be obtained by installing fixtures in different places and assessing the resulting effect. It is necessary to take into consideration the changes that may occur in a few years due to the growth of plants. By highlighting several requirements presented: lamps installed in places to highlight the most attractive elements of decoration; light should not be bright, dazzling, irritable, on the contrary, it is intended to act reassuringly as adjuvant perception of beauty.
There are two main types of illumination: the lower (the light is directed downwards) and upper (light upwards). The upper light is used to illuminate the individual objects garden. Creation of backlight requires excellent knowledge of the garden and its devices, shapes and forms.
Sources of soft, directed down light is better to locate near paths, steps and other places associated with the risk for pedestrians at night. Overall, install lights near the ground and beside or in front of illuminated objects.
Upper light sources are placed behind or at some distance from lighted elements. This light adds an unusual type of night garden. But do not abuse and install lights everywhere. Excessive effect devalues the garden.
Water highlighting can be made only by specially designated lamps. Generally, they are designed for low voltage and connected via bearish transformers. If you built the device using a water pump, for example such as a stream, you should provide additional power for the simultaneous operation of the backlight.
Choosing the installation for site lighting proceeds to laying of electric cable. At the same time you should take into consideration the installation site automatic protection necessary outlets and switches. They should be placed so that they were convenient to use and at the same time they should be unavailable for children. Electric cable is laid underground, often along the tracks, covered in tubes to prevent accidental damage. The cable should lay at a depth of at least 45 sm. Refer to accurate plan of the garden, which is marked by tracks of laying system power supply. All locations are connected to the network and must be equipped with circuit breakers. Given that electrical devices are devices of increased danger, all of them have to be installed only by specialists.
The greatest value in landscape objects is decorative lighting. With well-execution decorative lighting can achieve good effects and spectacular great emotional impact. Decorative lighting can be of these types:
Direct lighting is the light emitted directly from the source, it illuminates trees, shrubs, flowers, or even the whole composition.
Indirect (local) lighting is the light emitted from the source to the reflecting surface with the help of which it affects the desired object. Indirect light is particularly impressive as decorative walls, wallpaper, vertical gardening and walls of the building, that highlights individual objects environment.
Contour is light emitted from the source and highlights the contours of certain elements such as contour grouping landscape plants, small architectural forms.
Highlighting of water is also an interesting decorative reception. Water and waves refracting light rays generate a lot of glare, play of shadows on the walls, creating living environment lighting. Light sources are recommended to be placed in water. Then, passing through the water, the light is repeatedly reflected and creates great natural lamps with diffused light.
The decorative lighting fountains, cascades and waterfalls are technically the most difficult. This is a property of water falling - to reflect rays of light on it slightly. Water mainly absorbs light rays. It is therefore necessary for light source to be placed under water. Internal decorative lighting lamps reservoirs located under water create a stronger impression than light aimed at the water surface outside.
